Beware of email messages with the subject line ‘Verificatie Wehkamp-account’ [Verification Wehkamp account]. Scammers are sending out these messages purporting to come from the Dutch online retailer in an effort to obtain user credentials and other personal information from recipients. This practice is known as phishing.

Each separate message has its own phishing link. Some of these messages appear to harmless because the website they direct to has gone offline. Other messages still direct to a counterfeit website, which may look like this:
Phishing emails no longer exclusively use the names of financial institutions. Always be vigilant when an email message tells you to verify your account. This is a known scammer’s trick, don’t fall for it.
