Scam email from ‘PostNL’ links to malware

16 February 2018

Scammers are sending out emails purporting to come from PostNL in an attempt to transmit malicious files.

The emails inform recipients about a failed parcel delivery. The subject reads: ‘Your parcel is ready to be picked up at a PostNL service point near you’.

Always be cautious when you receive a parcel delivery notification and you haven’t ordered anything. Think twice before responding. Scammers play on people’s curiosity to tempt them to click on a harmful link or attachment.
