Scammers are sending out emails purporting to come from PostNL in an attempt to transmit malicious files.
The emails inform recipients about a failed parcel delivery. The subject reads: ‘Your parcel is ready to be picked up at a PostNL service point near you’.
The body text includes a link to a ‘track & trace page’ – at least, that’s what it says. But if you click on the link, you’ll download a .Zip file and risk having your computer infected by malicious software.

Always be cautious when you receive a parcel delivery notification and you haven’t ordered anything. Think twice before responding. Scammers play on people’s curiosity to tempt them to click on a harmful link or attachment.
