Fake Lidl vouchers on WhatsApp

Have you received a WhatsApp message about Lidl vouchers? Please ignore it, because it’s spam.

The message would like you to believe that the supermarket chain is giving out vouchers worth € 250. All you need to do is visit a certain website.

Our advice
This is a typical example of a fake giveaway. People who visit the website will be asked to disclose all sorts of personal details and agree to what boils down to extremely  unfavourable terms and conditions. They are not likely to win any prize or voucher, but they will have agreed to an avalanche of advertisements and other commercial messages.
