Two types of ING phishing emails surface

03-02-2014

Two phishing emails pretending to be from Dutch ING bank surfaced at the weekend. The content of the two messages is virtually identical; only the subject line differs slightly. One email asks “'Klopt deze transactie?" [Is this transaction correct, the other “Herinnering klopt deze transactie?"[Reminder, is this transaction correct?].

Content: link
Both email messages feature a poor-quality image of what might be the logo of the bank. No text is given in the body, only a hyperlink. Don’t click on it!

Scammers are probably trying to get their hands on your personal data. You might also be directed to a malware website which could infect your computer with malicious software.
